Sarah Goitz

President

Sarah J. Goitz serves as President of the organization after several years of volunteering and board work. Passionate about supporting disadvantaged children in foster care, Sarah loves to give back directly through event activities, scholarships and mentoring that inspire and provide hope. She looks to engage new and old community partners to promote the foundation’s mission while creating innovative programs to further support the youth. She is a realtor at her company Vegas Sports Realtors where she enjoys helping people find the perfect home when relocating to the Las Vegas Area. 

Lynda Espada

Secretary

Lynda provides administrative support to the Fostering Futures of Nevada team.  A Las Vegas transplant, Lynda splits here time between Las Vegas and Tamarindo, Costa Rica.  Lynda met Sarah, the Board President in Costa Rica and came on board with this organization in 2021 as the board adminstrator.  

Before retiring in 2014, Lynda was employed at the Edlavitch DCJCC as the Director of the Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Department for 15 years.  She has strong organizational skills having led a team of 5 full time and 60 part time employees.  She enjoyed being a team leader to use her skills and experience to help her team achieve its goals.  

Currently, she is the organizer for three women only groups planning events as social outings as happy hours, dinners at local restaurants, and building community among the members of each group.  “I love bringing people together connect in a fun atmosphere, make new friends, and have fun.”  Lynda loves to cook and bake for friends, and traveling to spend time with family and friends in Alaska, Nevada, and Costa Rica. Melanie Beam

Board Member

Melanie is a seasoned nonprofit organizer and community advocate. She originally hails from New York State and was president of a local living economy organization, Local First for 8 years. She was the Executive Director of a nonprofit transportation service where she secured grant funding of over 5 million dollars. She currently runs her own e-commerce web development and seo company Populuxe Marketing. 

Melanie looks forward to assisting the organization move into its’ next phase and is excited about helping children in the foster system.
