David Soto

Chairman of the Board

Dave Soto is a Las Vegas native, graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, and holds a Bachelors of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. After graduating from UNLV, Dave held executive level Internet marketing positions for the Tropicana and Bellagio. After a few years on the Strip, Dave migrated to Seattle to build internal process automation tools for MSN.com. Dave is currently the owner of HTMLfx.com, a web development and Internet marketing powerhouse.

Dave starting working with Through the Eyes of a Child in 2006 because of his belief that children deserve opportunities to better themselves regardless of their individual circumstances. He truly believes in helping anyone that is willing to help themselves. Dave has done pro bono work for several other charities in Las Vegas including Habitat for Humanity, Casa Foundation, Andre Augassi Foundation, Shriners Hospital for Children, The Shade Tree, UMC Foundation, and many others.

Michael Skenandore

President

Michael Skenandore, Vice President of Publishing for WENDOH Media, has more than 13 years of experience in publishing in Southern Nevada. He serves as Vice President, where he is responsible for overseeing an accomplished and growing team of media experts who provide award winning weekly, monthly and quarterly products under the WENDOH Media umbrella. Prior to coming to WENDOH Media, Skenandore was the Senior Account Executive, Group Sales for Greenspun Media Group, where he was instrumental in the launch of a several publications including In Business Las Vegas.

In addition to Michael’s work for WENDOH Media, he is the President of Through the Eyes of a Child, a non-profit organization committed to providing cultural, athletic and educational scholarships to abused, abandoned and neglected children in the foster care system in Clark County . Michael also donates his time to other non-profit organizations and several networking and local chamber organizations, including being a graduate of Leadership Henderson class of 2002. Skenandore earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Studies from UNLV.

Katie Conway

A graduate of the Hotel, Restaurant and Culinary Management program at Santa Barbara City College, Katie Conway worked in Santa Barbara’s bustling dining scene before relocating to New York City. After completing The French Culinary Institute’s School of Pastry Arts, Conway became the Sous Pastry Chef at the highly acclaimed Le Cirque 2000 in the New York Palace Hotel. An opportunity to work for Chef Jean Philippe Maury brought her to Las Vegas’ culinary scene as Chocolatier for Bellagio Resort in 2003.

Conway ultimately moved out of the kitchen and into public relations at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas. Combining her understanding of the kitchen with strategic public relations tactics, Conway was quickly dubbed the “The Chef Whisperer.” Following her tenure at The Ritz-Carlton, she accepted the position of F&B Public Relations Manager at Wynn Las Vegas & Encore, where she oversaw all media outreach and marketing for all 31 of the Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond resort’s restaurants, bars and nightlife venues.

A move to Southern California transitioned Conway to the agency side where she served as Managing Director at top hospitality and luxury lifestyle Public Relations and Marketing firms in Los Angeles and San Diego. Accounts including high-profile hotels, restaurants, celebrity chef talent management, food and wine events, product launches, and more were all under her direction.

Now back in Sin City with over a decade of hospitality PR experience, Conway enjoys discovering new restaurants on and off the strip and serves on the board for Through the Eyes of a Child, the Las Vegas Hospitality Service Providers Organization, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Southern Nevada and Scleroderma Research Foundation’s biannual “Cool Comedy-Hot Cuisine” Gala.

Adam Courrier

Adam Courrier is a graduate from the University Nevada Las Vegas Lied Institute of Real Estate Studies, where he co-founded the Real Estate and Business Society (REBS). A Broker/Salesman since 1998, Adam began his real estate career at CB Richard Ellis and was most recently at Southwest Commercial Real Estate. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to build several small businesses, each resulting in great experiences and much success. Adam’s talents of research, marketing, relationship management and solid analytical skills have been the core of his success. He is currently working towards his CCIM designation. Adam has taken on varied assignments relating to raw land, build-to-suit projects, leasing, and tenant representation. His client roster includes Capriatti Construction, Concorde Development, Turnberry LTD, Roush Industries, Carson Property Management and Las Vegas Golf and Tennis.

Adam has Partnered with Patrick McNaught in the Land and Investment team identifying and pursuing opportunities for their network of private clients.

Adam volunteers his time and film skill set to promote the Southern Nevada chapter of Candlelighters and is a long time volunteer with Through The Eyes of a Child a local charity focused on the children of Clark County’s Child haven.

Jared Krulewitz

Many people would like to think they have a fun job, but Jared Krulewitz is actually delightfully employed. Dubbed by many as Mr. Party Engineer, Krulewitz works as the Marketing and Promotions Director for Corner Bar Management Group. He is accountable for the design and production of events and promotions for clients like Commonwealth, Park on Freemont and BLVD Cocktail Company.

Despite his full social calendar, Krulewitz finds the time to be on the board of two Las Vegas-based charities where he assists in planning fundraisers. He is the Co-Event Chair for Through the Eyes of a Child Foundation (TTEOAC), a nonprofit group that provides cultural, educational and athletic scholarships to abused and abandoned children who are current or former wards of the state. Krulewitz also donates his time as Marketing Chair for Time Travelers Foundation (TTF), an organization that educates people on Epilepsy and serves as a support system to those affected by the condition.

Krulewitz is a proud Las Vegas native who received his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in 2009. In 2010, Krulewitz returned to Las Vegas where he began working at Blue Martini as the VIP Service Manager. After two years with the company, he became the N9NE Group Marketing Manager at the Palms Resort & Casino from 2012-2014.

Krulewitz enjoys the moments he gets to spend with his family and friends when he is not working. Krulewitz likes to play what he calls “old man sports” –ping-pong, bowling and racquetball.

David Laub

David Laub is a Las Vegas native although he left for 10 years and grew up in Texas he eventually came back to attend and graduate from UNLV. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. After graduating from UNLV, Dave decided he wanted to have a career in finance. He began his career as an intern at a brand new company called NevWest Securities Corporation and worked his way up to the COO of NevWest. After many years many years at NevWest David decided to get into the Non-Profit world and accepted the COO position at Nevada Child Seekers. He decided to leave Nevada Child Seekers to get back into finance where he is currently the Client Relationship Manager at Merrill Lynch.
David starting working with Through the Eyes of a Child in 2016. David has always committed his time to the youth of the Las Vegas valley. He enjoys helping the youth grow as individuals and preparing them for their future.

Nicole Scherer

Nicole Scherer lives a life one can only aspire. As Co-Event Chair on the Board of Through the Eyes of a Child Foundation, she is able to plan and execute social gatherings for a good cause. Through the Eyes of a Child Foundation (TTEOAC) is a nonprofit organization that provides cultural, educational and athletic scholarships to abused and abandoned children who are current or former wards of the state.

Hailing from Florida, Scherer spent most of her childhood outdoors and grew up with an affinity for everything aquatic. First receiving her B.A. from Florida State University with a major in Interior Design, she also received a minor in Art History. Scherer later went on to graduate from the University of Central Florida majoring in Business Marketing with an emphasis in sales. Once Scherer moved away from the beach, she found a new way to love the outdoors by taking her dog on frequent walks to the park.

Currently, Scherer generates sales through display, mobile, and other interactive media platforms as Digital Sales Manager at WENDOH Media. Scherer is responsible for meeting the annual digital revenue expectations; not only does she meet them, she strives to exceed the standards she has made for herself. Before WENDOH media, Scherer was an L’Oreal Professional for seven years as a traveling sales/marketing executive.

Scherer brings her avid love for music and the outdoors to TTEOAC through event planning. She also donates her time to the Young Professionals of Las Vegas and Las Vegas Interactive Media Association (LVIMA), and also stays actively involved in the local Florida State Alumni Meet-Up. May it be with clients or friends, Scherer cultivates loyalty in her relationships, and is a testimony on how to live a good life.
