David Soto
Chairman of the Board
Dave Soto is a Las Vegas native, graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, and holds a Bachelors of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada Las vegas. After graduating from UNLV, Dave held executive level Internet Marketing positions for the the Tropicana and Bellagio. After a few years on the Strip, Dave migrated to Seattle to build internal process automation tools for MSN.com. Dave is currently the owner of HTMLfx.com and co-owner of AdviseMediaGroup.com. Together these companies form a web development and Internet marketing powerhouse.
Dave starting working with Through the Eyes of a Child in 2006 because of his belief that children deserve opportunities to better themselves regardless of their individual circumstances. He truly believes in helping anyone that is willing to help themselves. Dave has done pro bono work for several other charities in Las Vegas including Habitat for Humanity, Casa Foundation, Andre Augassi Foundation, Shriners Hospital for Children, The Shade Tree, UMC Foundation, and many others.
Michael Skenandore
President
Michael Skenandore, Vice President of Publishing for WENDOH Media, has more than 13 years of experience in publishing in Southern Nevada. He serves as Vice President, where he is responsible for overseeing an accomplished and growing team of media experts who provide award winning weekly, monthly and quarterly products under the WENDOH Media umbrella. Prior to coming to WENDOH Media, Skenandore was the Senior Account Executive, Group Sales for Greenspun Media Group, where he was instrumental in the launch of a several publications including In Business Las Vegas.
In addition to Michael's work for WENDOH Media, he is the President of Through the Eyes of a Child, a non-profit organization committed to providing cultural, athletic and educational scholarships to abused, abandoned and neglected children in the foster care system in Clark County . Michael also donates his time to other non-profit organizations and several networking and local chamber organizations, including being a graduate of Leadership Henderson class of 2002. Skenandore earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Studies from UNLV.
Paula Lessnick
Treasurer
Paula Lessnick who brings a unique background to the position. As a teenager, she worked for a local Boys and Girls Club in all departments including summer day camp counseling. In addition to working withchildren, she created and supervised all activities to ensure fun and safety. After high school, Paula pursued and earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Broome Community College of which sheis an alumni member. Prior to living in Las Vegas, she worked in accounting for many companiesincluding CVS, The Little Jewel, Action Graphics, and BW Elliot Manufacturing. Paula and her familymoved to Las Vegas in 2004 where many opportunities were available, and in 2008 she opened her ownbookkeeping company. Paula graduated Cum Laude in 2009 with her Bachelors Degree of Accountingfrom Regis University. She continued with Regis University and earned her Masters of BusinessAdministration in 2010 with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting. She graduated with honors andremains a member of the alumni at Regis University. Paula has successfully demonstrated heraccounting skills and talent in the Las Vegas area in industries that include Real Estate, AutomobileRepair and/or Sales, Office Equipment, Promotional Advertising, Web Design & Marketing, andInvestment Holdings. As Treasurer, Paula looks forward to making a contribution to this non-profitorganization by volunteering her skills and education. Her goal is to make a difference in the lives of asmany children as possible.
Heather Soto
Secretary
Heather Soto is a current resident and business owner in the Arts District. As a second generation native to the Vegas Valley, she takes pride in her city but especially the urban lifestyle that she shares with her husband, Dave Soto. Named as one of "The Ladies of Downtown" by 944 magazine, Heather finds excitement in the development of the area and has positioned herself and her business to be a part of the progress.
Specializing in residential and commercial design, along with custom lighting and furniture design, Heather Soto is co-founder and principal of Inhabit Design, a leading interior design firm. She obtained her degree in design from an accredited CIDA program in Washington State and is a Nevada Registered Interior Designer.
Heather believes strongly in giving back and is actively involved in her community. She serves as a board member for Through the Eyes of a Child Foundation, 18b neighborhood Association and The Lab-Working Architecture and Design Gallery. Currently, Inhabit Design is donating their time and talent in the remodel of the 50,000 sqft Las Vegas Ronald McDonald House.
Adam Courrier
Adam Courrier is a graduate from the University Nevada Las Vegas Lied Institute of Real Estate Studies, where he co-founded the Real Estate and Business Society (REBS). A Broker/Salesman since 1998, Adam began his real estate career at CB Richard Ellis and was most recently at Southwest Commercial Real Estate. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to build several small businesses, each resulting in great experiences and much success. Adam's talents of research, marketing, relationship management and solid analytical skills have been the core of his success. He is currently working towards his CCIM designation. Adam has taken on varied assignments relating to raw land, build-to-suit projects, leasing, and tenant representation. His client roster includes Capriatti Construction, Concorde Development, Turnberry LTD, Roush Industries, Carson Property Management and Las Vegas Golf and Tennis.
Adam has Partnered with Patrick McNaught in the Land and Investment team identifying and pursuing opportunities for their network of private clients.
Adam volunteers his time and film skill set to promote the Southern Nevada chapter of Candlelighters and is a long time volunteer with Through The Eyes of a Child a local charity focused on the children of Clark County's Child haven.
Sarah Goitz
Sarah Goitz, Sales Director for Vegas Seven Magazine and UNLV alumni, assists with event planning and fundraising for Through the Eyes of a Child Foundation. With a background in marketing, events and public relations, Goitz brings years of experience to support the multiple events hosted by the organization and its partners. As a volunteer for TTEOACF since 2006, Sarah is most passionate about seeing the smiles on children's faces that are able to enjoy the activities hosted by the TTEOACF.
